Emma started working at d and h on a consultancy basis in 2018 and is now a permanent member of the team as a Director and head of the Private Client department.
Having lived in Aberdeen and Thurso, Emma completed a Pre Diploma Traineeship whilst working in Thurso and decided to move back to Orkney in 2009 where she worked as a Solicitor in private practice initially and then the public sector.
During her time at d and h, Emma has specialised in Guardianships, Family Law and Legal Aid work and likes knowing that this area of work involves helping people, whether providing protection to vulnerable individuals, stability and security for children or allowing people to move on with their lives. Now, in her new role as head of the Private Client department, Emma provides support to the team and deals with Guardianships, Executries and Trusts, Wills, Power of Attorney and Advance Directives.
Outside of work, Emma is kept busy with her 2 young children and her Cairn Terrier, Gizmo.
